Mr. Chazen is a director of the Chazen Institute of Global Business at Columbia Business School. He serves on the board and Advancement Committee of High Jump, an educational not-for-profit based in Chicago. He is a founding member of the Young Presidents Organization, Aspen Chapter, and serves as membership chair. He is a member of the Socrates Society of the Aspen Institute and serves on the Giving Network of the Aspen Community Foundation. He is a Lifetime Trustee of Jazz Aspen and serves on the Boards of both Theatre Aspen and Aspen Film. Mr. Chazen received his B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1982 and his MBA from Columbia Business School in 1986. He has run 27 New York City Marathons and counting.
As Senior Controller at SEI, John oversees financial reporting, treasury management, budgeting, interal controls, and accounting operations across the company’s investment portfolio. He brings more than 15 years of experience in real estate finance and accounting, including leadership roles with Clear Investment Group, Golub & Company, TLC Management, and other real estate organizations. Throughout his career, John has managed financial operations for commercial and multifamily portfolios, directed audits and tax compliance, and implemented systems to enhance reporting and financial controls. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University and a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern Illinois University. John is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Illinois.

As Controller and Asset Manager at SEI, Kyle provides support across the company’s financial reporting, investor communications, treasury management, and operational accounting ensuring accuracy and transparency. He also manages the company’s outsourced accounting, underwriting, and property management partners to ensure efficiency and high-quality deliverables while focusing on elevated analytical and reporting functions.
Prior to SEI, Kyle served as an Asset Manager at Turner Impact Capital where he managed portfolio performance, capital planning, property management, loan compliance, and investor reporting across multiple private equity funds that invested over $6B nationwide. He earned his BS in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
